In my blog series “Travel & Draw” I’m writing about some trips I did accompanied by some of my drawings.
In October 2023 I traveled with my roommate to Bornholm, a Danish island to the east of Denmark. We went there by train and ferry. It was a long but pleasant way since the sea was calm, only slightly windy and sunny.
The island is very beautiful and – our host said because of our travel time – tranquil. We saw more animals than people since we were hiking a lot in nature which was a nice change. The north of the island contains a lot of large, fenced areas where sheep, cows, or goats can wander around freely. There is also the largest castle ruin in Northern Europe called “Hammershus”.

Since my roommate draws a lot in her free time (and also in a commercial way) she motivated me to keep a drawing journal this journey. I had a lot of fun since I love drawing but I have done it very little lately. Here are some of my favorite pages, pics of me drawing, and some photos we took when and where we were drawing:

I’d love to draw more on my trips from now on since I really enjoyed it. If I do you will see it here. 🙂
